Biographies:
 

Civic Award Honoring Deceased Members of Columbia Fire Company:

Bangor Area High School: Alexandra Martocci - During her four years at Bangor Area High School, Alex was part of the chorus, and the Slater chorale. She played Soccer for four years and was a varsity letter winner each year. Alex was a founding member of Troop 941, Scouts BSA in 2019 and the first in her Troop to earn the rank of Eagle Scout in 2023. She was an alter server at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Roseto for 7 years and volunteered at the annual ‘Big Time’ celebration. She has been an All-Star Cheerleader with Rebels Elite for 10 years and serves as a volunteer coach for the youth teams. Alex will attend East Stroudsburg University in the Fall, majoring in Health Sciences.

Faith Christian - Hope Light - Hope has been a student at Faith Christian since fourth grade. In ninth grade, she led her drama class in creating a shadow play. She played soccer for two years, and she served as a yearbook editor for two years. She has been part of the National Honor Society since tenth grade and served as NHS president in her senior year. In this position, she organized a food drive, fundraised for the Pregnancy Resource Center of the Poconos, and planned Pi Day. In her senior year, she was also her class secretary, and part of the school newspaper staff. Hope has also been active in her church where she has led/taught preschool Sunday school classes since she was in seventh grade. This fall, Hope will be attending Liberty University Majoring in Elementary Education and a minor in Computer Science. Her dream is to become a teacher, perhaps returning to FCS one day.
