Biographies:
 

Civic Award Honoring Deceased Members of Columbia Fire Company:

Bangor Area High School: Allison Talero - During her four years at Bangor Area High School, Allison was actively involved in numerous student and athletic activities. She was a member of the Track and Field team her Freshman and Sophomore year and the Cross Country Team for 4 years where she was captain her Jr. and Sr. year and won the MVP award both years as well. Allison was a member of Student Government, Class Cabinet, Leo Club, Ecology Club, and the National and French Honor Societies. She volunteered at Slatebelt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for over 40 hours. and led a recycling project collecting old broken holiday lights to keep them out of the local landfills. Allison also participated in various Research projects her junior and senior year including the PA Junior Academy of Science where she was awarded 1st place. Allison plans on attending Susquehanna University in the Fall, majoring in Biology Education.

Faith Christian - James Blair - While at Faith, James was on the soccer teams for 5 years and basketball team for 4 years. He was a member of the National Honor Society since 11th grade and served as the local chapter secretary. He was a lifelong Boy Scout, recently attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. His volunteer activities include helping at a homeless shelter, picking up trash in his community with his church, and serving his school through his Eagle Scout project. James is this years class valedictorian at Faith and plans to attend Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, to pursue mechanical engineering.
